weddings ~ love

I took the bus up to Taipei in the morning, and arrived to get ready for my cousin's wedding. I'm so excited for her!! This was also my first wedding ever in my life, so that was cool cool too =D. Because I am fashion-challenged, I totally did not know how to shop for clothes to wear at a wedding… but two friends helped me - I am eternally grateful. When I showed them pictures, they were all like, "why did you wear leggings… O_O! Anyway, very exciting!!! My friend here at NCTU also officially tied the knot today :O I guess today was a popular day to get married ^^.

hehe she's so pretty!

After the ceremony, my uncle and I took a walk around the park nearby the hotel where the reception would be. There was a Confucius temple and we took some photos.

Unfortunately, the temple closed at 5pm sharp for some reason, so we headed back to the hotel. I met some of my older uncle's friends (I had come with my younger uncle) - haha they were a nice bunch!

I visited my cousin up in her room, where she was taking a break before the reception. One of her friends already had a baby boy, and apparently, there's this Chinese tradition where if you have a baby roll around on the bed, than the bride will become pregnant easier xD. The Chinese parents just want their grandkids as soon as possible.

Dinner time! Yayy~ I sat with my uncle's friends from before, and there was so much food!!! Why…. do I always forget to take pictures of food…? Because… I'm too busy eating the food. Haha.

lobster... =P

another person proposed to his girlfriend at the reception! how cute =)

The bride and groom and their parents then came around to each table to give a toast.

Unfortunately, I have to leave early to get back to NCTU, so we said bye to the happy couple, and were on our way.
