beipu

Today, I went to Beipu [北埔] with a group of international students - a smaller group than last time, but it was still fun =). We were going to take the bus the whole way, but when we got to the train station, Shierly saw a taxi driver that had driven her before, and he had one of those big taxis, so we all fit in his car =D =D. Our first stop was the paintball arena! It hurts when the pellets hit you T_T. I got bruises all over my arm where I was hit, even got shot in the mouth blehhh. It was so hot in all the gear and I regretted not bringing a change of clothes, it got kind of nasty. Oh well, after paintballing, we ate at a Hakka restaurant yumm =)

mmm..... chicken.....

Next stop: cold springs [冷泉]! It didn't look like a spring at all, just like a river. There was a spring ish area, but yea. We climbed rocks and the boys did some training or something by sticking their heads under the waterfall.

We saw the after effects of the paintball battle through bruises all over our arms and legs xD.

cute =) =)

there were also a bunch of photographers taking pictures of a model. is this how it usually is at a photo shoot?

the model. I didn't get a good picture of her; oh well!

our group!

For dinner, we ate at a nice Japanese restaurant I had some tempura and cold noodles.

my tempura and cold noodles =D

The international students were surprised that asian culture had cold foods; I guess all of their main course dishes are warm! They were also surprised at the cold chicken that we had at the Hakka restaurant.

We arrived back at school and went straight to watch a Polish movie about the massacre of Polish officials at Katyn Forest during WWII. A pretty big eye opener for me.
