classes, dorms, craziness

School has been busy busy with figuring out classes, paying for fees (Taiwan uses cash to pay for everything by the way), maneuvering my way around campus, and living for a week without internet in my dorm =O.

The second weekend of school, a group of friends and I went to Taipei to observe the Lantern Festival. It was pretty nice.

we took a bus to Taipei from Hsinchu

the view on the way... =)

We visited Taipei 101 afterwards for a bit. I went to MUJI and bought lots of stuff for you little sis. Be happy. =D

why... am I so short?

Not much to talk about for school, other than the fact that the add/drop deadline is the second week of school; if I drop a course after two weeks, I get a nice W….. anyways, enough about classes. Let's talk about sports and fun.

The school held a program called 梅竹百人夜考 - which translates roughly to "Meichu BBQ for hundreds of people" or something. NCTU's rival school is NTHU (National Tsing-Hua University), and every year there is a sports competition between the two schools called Meichu Competition [梅竹比賽].

lots of stations set up

cooking!

Today was badminton and table tennis I believe. We won badminton but lost table tennis =/. Another two days of games! While watching the badminton games, our group played this fun fun game called Dix It. It's like apples to apples except with a board where you can move pieces. The end! Hope CMU peeps are enjoying their spring break!
