I didn't do anything today… and that's not a good thing because I have HOMEWORK due. Sadness. I did try on a sari (one of my roommates is Indian). How do I look? Haha.

Palm Sunday today! So I walked around today with a leaf sticking out of my bag. I probably looked weird. Anyway, the Lans and some friends visited me today - we went to the ChengHuang Temple [城隍廟] and ate lunch there. and had the "chinese version of Häagen-Dazs" [刨冰] according to Mr. Lan. Anyway, afterward (after I finished my homework of course… =D) I went to Taichung [台中] to go to the "real" night market. If I knew I was going there, I would have brought my camera haha. Unfortunately you all can't see the bustling Taiwan night life and can't smell the great aromas floating around everywhere………… I'm hungry again. HAHA. I'm so going to gain 500 pounds while I'm at Taiwan because of all the delicious foods.

Stupid visa expiring after 60 days. Because of you Mr. Visa, I had to wake up early, wait 2 hours take the bus to downtown, and wander around for another hour trying to find the immigration office only to go the wrong way and back again………grrrr. It was just my luck that the university staff decided to take the day off and not go to the immigration office before my visa expired, so I had to make the trip myself.
The people in Hsinchu are super nice though, they took me on their scooters to the government headquarters by the train station (even though that wasn't where the immigration office was), and another guy sacrificed his lunchtime to actually drive me to the immigration office too T_T. So nice!! I felt so bad! Anyway, I actually got back in time before my classes started at 1:30, so that was good. Whew~

I had so much food today… Mrs. W and her sister came up to visit me for lunch - we went to Jhubei [竹北] and went to a little restaurant that had free douhua [豆花] and soymilk [豆漿]. Yum! I showed them around the campus and my room afterwards. For dinner, I met up with my professor friend from TsingHua and her friend to eat CURRY!! Yum yum! We took a small walk around downtown, and introduced me to some more of Hsinchu's specialty dishes. I should bring my camera with me whenever I go out to eat with her - she's so entertaining =).
Alright, I need to go to sleep now, because I'm waking up at 6am to go sing KTV for cheap. HAHA.
